My name is Patrik Arn Wirén. Born in 1978, father of two boys and one girl, married since 2006. I work as a UX Designer for Pingdoms client team. 2005 was the first time i got into UX, discovering people like Don Norman and Ginny Redish, that was the start for me as a UX designer.
I’m experienced in UX methods and techniques and are always trying to improve by reading,
taking courses, attending lectures and events. I see UX as science and try to work the
same way a scientist do, questioning, forming hypotheses, experiment, collect data, draw
conclusions and test results.
On my spare time i like to spend time with my kids, go fishing, play in the water, skate my mini ramp and ofcourse give my wife as much love i can.
Product vision, competitor review, target group, needs, solution and success factors. User interviews: Overview, domain knowledge, goals, attitudes, motivations, environment, pain points, etc.
Analyze and sort data from interviews. Compare multiple variables of behavior and attitudes. Find patterns to serve as user types. Define personas from the user types. Use the personas for user stories, user scenarios, API, UI-design etc.
Rough and quick wireframes with pen and paper. Continue with Sketch to get native elements. Presented to the team at an early stage to avoid technical limitations.
Find key tasks for the persona from interviews and research. The scenarios must contain: Who, what, when, where, why and how. In each scenario the persona should reach it's goal in best possible way.
Mapps visualizes journeys, navigation structure, user flows and relationship between views to get a good overview of the app/project. Use a frequently updated map throughout a project.
Design vision & guidelines that enhances the user experience. Design for the personas and the user context. Follow platform guidelines for a uniform expression.
Build quick and simple or final prototypes to test navigation, flow, feasibility and usability for internal or user testing to get insights into the user interaction at various levels.
metrics that reflect the quality of the user experience, and that map to your main goals. Goals and KPI's - Happiness, engagement, adoption, retention, tasks. prioritization of the various metrics. Balance the quantitative metrics against qualitative user feedback.
Test every possible scenario and use case. Performance tests. Create A/B tests: Multivariate, hotspots, recordings, analysis and conversion.
